About Us

After high school and prior to attending Hennepin Technical College for cabinet making, I worked for a furniture repair and refinishing company, and for a specialty custom painter in the Twin Cities, where I learned a number of different techniques in repair and finishing/painting. I also did general construction work. I developed a love for custom woodworking and decided to go into cabinet making. Constructing a set of cabinets or furniture from the design process through the finishing and installation is where my passion is. I completed my two year degree in cabinet making from Hennepin Technical College in Eden Prairie, MN, in 2009.  After completing college, I worked for a cabinet shop in Lakeville, MN.  Then the housing market took a downturn and I was laid off.  At that time, I had a small shop area in my home in Farmington, MN, and started doing cabinet making on my own. I subcontracted for a cabinet shop in Burnsville, MN, on a piecemeal basis. In 2013 I moved to Spring Valley, Wisconsin, where I live and have a shop.  I love a challenge and working with different woods (hickory, oak, ash, maple, bamboo, cherry, black walnut , to name a few), custom matching existing stains/paint, and select cut woods.  I’ve worked on traditional styles, contemporary, transitional.
